Nintendo E3 2021 Showcase: Overhype or a Disappointment?

Watching the Nintendo E3 showcase a lot of fans were expecting for a new character reveal for Super Smash Bros and more news for Breath of the Wild 2.

Right off the start they introduced the new Super Smash Bros character. They didn’t do the causal cutscene of the new character getting the invitation, they just got right to it and revealed the new fighter. YES the fighter they revealed is from a fighting game franchise called Tekken. Not the locked character like King or Eddie. The basic generic character Kazuya that you can play with on Tekken. While maybe not everyone’s first choice, check out the trailer and let us know what you think!

Going on, they announced anniversary games like Super Monkey Ball. Which will release October 5th. They are announcing it as a “modern HD remaster” of Super Monkey BallSuper Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. As someone who played Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on original Xbox, I was excited for this.

The rest of the showcase was focused on Just Dance, Mario Party and several anime related games.

They did talk about a Legend of Zelda themed Game and Watch coming soon but sadly they didn’t mentioned anything about the new Switch Pro Console.

If you watch the Showcase and wanted to hear about Breath of the Wild, just skip to the end of the video and watch the last 4 mins.

While we wish there would have been news on some of the big stuff we were waiting for, this wasn’t to bad.
