Boarderlands 3 Update Will Allow More Levels and Crossplay

When Borderlands 3 was announced I had a lot of time to kill so my buddy and I decided to play through all the previous games to prepare. Once Boarderlands 3 rolled around we were ready to jump in. We had read up on what characters were coming and knew what we wanted to play. My buddy chose FL4K and I picked Moze. At the time the only way to play together was on the same platform, which we thankfully both owned an Xbox.
Boarderlands 3 will be adding a long awaited crossplay feature. You’ll be able to play with friends on Steam, Epic, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. You’ll still have to use the SHiFT matchmaking system. If you haven’t used it yet it’s pretty simple. You just need to create an account and set it up with a unique username. Hopefully you can snag your gamertag from other platforms if no ones beat you to it. It’s great to see crossplay coming around to more games. I think a lot of us have friends on other platforms we would love to play with. Seeing Boarderlands add this in will be great fun.
And on top of that great news, we have been given more power levels! The level cap has increased to 72. Meaning more grinding to do and I’m sure more crazy builds. Time for me to hop back on and ramp up that Mech that Moze has. Great time to add more levels now that we can connect with our cross-platform friends. Trying out new builds and getting it exactly how you want it has been a big part of the fun in this game.
The update is also giving us endless seasonal events. You’ll be able to select which ones you want from the menu before hopping in. This means you can keep grinding out the events you want to get the loot you want. Great way to chase after some of those hard to find things you may have missed. It’s also a great way to work up the the new level cap as well! I know there are a few things I hope to find from some of the events.
So grab those new friends and get to grinding! Tell us what cool stuff you find and what builds you make!
